Laws Concerning Eggs, Vegetables and Wine PDF Print E-mail

Eggs must come from kosher birds, and just not contain blood spots, as blood is unkosher.
Fruit and Vegetables are parev, that is they are neither milk products nor meat products, and hence can be eaten with either milk or meat. Fruit should not be picked up from the ground, as that portion goes to the poor. Neither fruit or vegetables should have creatures in them - a worm in an apple means the whole thing is unkosher.
Wine should be grown in a field using the Sabbath year rule (it is lain fallow for one year in every seven). Grapes should not be picked up from the ground, and the presses must not be greased with animal fat (as apparently other wine presses are).
