This is the first complete and accurate translation of Sefer Ha-Ot in English. It is one of the rare autobiographic works in Kabbalah, and the only remaining autobiographic book of Abulafia himself.

The reader will be ravished in Abulafia's visions, which use every sort of kabbalistic technique. The expert eye will recognize Gematria, Notarikon, and a wealth of other methods. Abulafia receives a specific mission, and describes it meticulously.

He constantly intermingles Divine Names with his vision. They serve to keep clear the vision itself, and to direct it. As the words of the Ruach Ha-Kodesh (Divine Inspiration) pass through his mind, they acquire new meanings. He often splits them, obtaining two words. Sometimes, a letter is in bold, or enlarged, for it assumes a special meaning in the vision. This edition strives to keep as much as possible of the flavour of the original text, hinting at the used techniques.
